This itinerary brings together two major Everest-region experiences: the journey to Everest Base Camp and an attempt on Lobuche East.
From Lukla, follow the traditional Everest trail through Namche Bazaar and Tengboche to Dingboche. Acclimatization is built into the route before the journey continues higher towards Lobuche and Gorak Shep. The trekking phase includes Everest Base Camp at 5,364 metres and an ascent towards Kala Patthar. The focus then shifts from trekking to mountaineering as the team approaches Lobuche East.
Dedicated technical preparation and a contingency day are included before and around the summit attempt. Lobuche East involves genuine mountaineering terrain and requires appropriate fitness, preparation and respect for changing mountain conditions.
