The incredible journey starts with a guided city tour in Kathmandu, where you visit the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The next day, you board an early flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara and then drive to Nayapul. The trek finally begins from Nayapul, which takes you to Ghorepani via Ulleri. After enjoying the mesmerizing sunrise over the Himalayas from Poon Hill, you walk past the villages and deep forests to reach Deurali via Chhomrong and Bamboo.

In the last couple of days, you climb up to Machhapuchhre and Annapurna Base Camp to enjoy the unparalleled view of the magnetic mountain vistas. Finally, you retrace your steps back to Nayapul and then fly back to Kathmandu.

This is a moderate to challenging trek that requires a good level of fitness. The trail starts along with the paddy fields. The trail then takes you through the deep bamboo forest, finally ending among the glaciers and lofty peaks.Besides the usual trekking permit (TIMS), you also require a special conservation area permit to traverse through this area.   • Day 01

    Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)

    Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), you’ll receive a warm welcome from our representatives. They will help you with your luggage and drive you to the hotel. After check-in at the hotel, you can simply rest, or you can stroll in the local streets of Thamel to get a glimpse of the city. In the evening, you’ll enjoy a welcome dinner. Our guides will brief you about the trek.

  • Day 02

    Kathmandu: Sightseeing and trek Preparation

    Kathmandu is a modern city with hidden medieval heritages. This city is home to many Hindu and Buddhist shrines. Similarly, the ancient courtyards, water sprouts, and the grand palaces are something certain to delight. You’ll visit Pashupatinath- the famous Hindu temple of Lord Shiva, Swayambhunath- the famous Buddhist Chaitya (monastery), also known as monkey temple, Boudhanath- another famous and quiet magnificent Buddhist shrine and two famous courtyards- Kathmandu Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square.

    If you’ve enough time, you can also visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square. In addition to the structural elegance, every monument has an intriguing historical background and cultural significance to know. Stay in a hotel at Kathmandu.

  • Day 03

    Fly to Pokhara and trek to Ulleri (2050 m/6725 ft.)

    After breakfast, you head to the domestic terminal of TIA and catch your flight to Pokhara. This thirty-minute flight affords you the stunning side views of the beautiful crown jewels of the Himalayas: Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Machhapuchhre, Annapurna peaks, and others. After landing at Pokhara Airport, you drive to Nayapul and start the beautiful trek. You follow the trail through the forested hills and cross a bridge over Bhurundi Khola (stream) before you reach Tikhedhunga. At Birethanti, you’ll have to show your permits to enter the Annapurna Conservation Area. The trail slopes up along the stony steps to take you to Ulleri.

    Ulleri to Ghorepani (2,750 m/ 9,020 ft.)

    The trek begins with a steep climb along the stone staircases to Ghorepani. On the way to Ghorepani, you walk past some beautiful waterfalls, tiny settlements, and few teahouses. The trail also rewards you with an occasional view of Annapurna South. Ghorepani (2874 m) is an attractive village in the Myagdi district within the Annapurna Conservation Area. It is a popular stop for the trekkers to Poon Hill (3210 m), a famous hill station to watch the sunrise.

    Ghorepani to Tadapani (2,700m/8,860ft) with a visit to Poon Hill (3,210m/10,529ft)

    Today, you will take a pre-dawn trek to Poon Hill to watch the mesmerizing sunrise over the Himalayas. The beautiful interplay of rays with the snow-clad mountain peaks is something extraordinary to describe in words. Then, you will enjoy a cup of coffee watching the majestic Dhaulagiri and Annapurna mountain peaks before you trek back to Ghorepani. After breakfast at Ghorepani, you first climb up the ridge the climb down the rhododendron hills to reach Tadapani.

    Tadapani to Chhomrong (2170m/7120ft)

    After breakfast, you follow the descending trail through the forested hills of rhododendron. After a while, the trail widens into a beautiful village with terraced farms. Continuing further, you walk past a waterfall and cross a suspension bridge. After a series of ascent and descent, you reach Chhomrong. Chhomrong is an attractive Gurung village and a gateway to Annapurna sanctuary trek. The Annapurna peak standing tall and high in front of the village make it more appealing.

    Chhomrong to Bamboo (2310m/7578ft)

    Today, you begin your trek on a stone stepped trail walk up to a suspension bridge. The trek today lasts about 5 hours. After crossing the bridge over the Chhomrong Khola, the trail slopes upward to Sinuwa. From Sinuwa, you keep walking through the rhododendron-orchid forest, and then descend through the stone staircases to reach Bamboo.

    Bamboo to Deurali (3230m/10,595ft)

    After breakfast, you walk through the deep bamboo forest and then follow an uphill path to Hotel Himalaya. The place offers you an unprecedented view of the glacial streams. From here, you again continue a forest walk along the steep path to reach Hinku cave. Then, the trail descends to a river before it slopes upward to take you to Deurali. As you climb higher, you’ll see some waterfalls sprouting out of the hills and the river flowing beneath the cliff.

    Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m/13,545ft) via Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3700m/12135ft)

    Today, you’ll have an exciting and challenging walk to Annapurna Base Camp (4130 m) via Machhapuchhre Base camp (3700 m). You begin your trek through Bamboo, rhododendron, and oak forest. Then, the valley widens, and you walk on a somewhat flat path before ascending to Machhapuchhre Base Camp. As you climb higher, the mountain peaks get closer and closer. Admiring the spectacular beauty of the Himalayas around, you keep ascending until you reach Annapurna Base Camp (ABC). It is the best place for the panoramic view of the mountain peaks in the region. You can enjoy the outstanding view of Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Annapurna III, Himchuli, Gangapurna, Machhapuchhre, and many other mountain peaks.

    Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo

    After breakfast, you follow the descending trail to Machhapuchhre Base Camp. The descend trek lasts around 8 hours until you reach Bamboo.     Bamboo to Jhinu Danda (1760m/5770 ft.)

    From Bamboo, first, you walk on a steep trail up to Kuldi Ghar. Then, the trail is somewhat flat until you reach Sinuwa. The trail descends to Chhomrong Khola and takes you through the stone stairs up to Jhinu Danda. After trekking for 6 hours, you will finally arrive at this place, which is famous for hot springs. People believe that a hot spring bath cures skin diseases and joint aches.

    Trek to Nayapul then drive to Pokhara

After trekking for about six hours, you reach Nayapul from where you take a bus to Pokhara. In the evening, you can roam around the beautiful city of Pokhara.
